More than 50 incredible students came out to walk with our Director and Counselor today! We loved seeing so many smiling faces, great conversations, and positive energy as we started the day moving together.
What a great way to build connections, strengthen our school community, and enjoy some fresh air all before school!

Our Student Body Officers took leadership to new heights at the ropes course! Through team-building challenges, they practiced communication, trust, problem-solving, perseverance, and teamwork—all while encouraging one another and having a lot of fun along the way. 💪🌟
We’re excited to see these student leaders bring those skills back to school as they work together to make this year a great one for our entire student body!

🌟 Welcome Back to North Star Academy! 🌟
We are so excited to welcome Mrs. White back to the NSA Bear family!
This year she will be teaching Kindergarten while also helping inspire curiosity and creativity across our school through the Schoolwide Enrichment Model (SEM). Her passion for making learning meaningful and engaging is something our students are sure to love.
A few fun facts about her:
🏔️ When she's not at school, you'll usually find her hiking, camping, swimming, or exploring the outdoors with her family.
☕ Her perfect weekend includes a good book and relaxing on the porch.
🎨 She loves organizing spaces and finding creative ways to make learning fun.
❤️ She believes every child deserves to feel known, capable, and excited to come to school.
Please join us in giving her a warm North Star Academy welcome back! We can't wait to see the joy, creativity, and wonder she'll bring to our kindergarten students and to enrichment experiences for all of our NSA Bears this year.
Welcome back to the Bear family!

When she is not spending time with family you can find her in the kitchen, at her sewing machine, reading her kindle or watching a movie!Current love is the regency romance genres! Nadia grew up in Bluffdale, attended Bluffdale Elementary and Summit Academy and then graduated from Riverton High School, and is thrilled to be back in the Bluffdale community!

Despite an overnight red-eye flight, our North Star Academy educators hit the ground running by exploring the Freedom Trail—connecting with the rich history that has shaped our nation—before heading to the University of Connecticut for the nationally recognized Confratute Conference.
This week they'll join educators from across the country to deepen their understanding of the Schoolwide Enrichment Model and discover innovative ways to inspire curiosity, creativity, and high levels of engagement in every learner.

Engaging and inspiring students to reach their highest potential through a safe, challenging, and individualized learning environment.

During our Annual Day of Service earlier this month, students packed 150 Hygiene Go-Kits for Firefighters and 50 Welcome Hygiene Kits for VA Fisher House!

Summer Hours for June are 9-3 weekdays.

PTO has already been planning and coordinating with administration for a great 2026-2027 school year. In an effort to support accurate ordering and expedite the lines during Back to School Night, our PTO Spirit Shirt Chair is requesting all parents complete the preorder form for sizing of each of their school age NSA children during the month of June. If you turned in a paper order form the last week of school that is sufficient, but if you did not return your form please complete this link: https://forms.gle/QWDWcusEF9vbwaCm9 or use he QR code in the graphic.
We hope everyone is enjoying a fun filled family time this summer. These shirts are worn on field trips and early out days, but a gift from our PTO to all students.

This year’s Annual Day of Service introduced a new opportunity for students to make a meaningful impact in the community. Students visited a local daycare, where they read books about the five senses and the importance of proper tooth-brushing habits before creating a fun, hands-on craft to reinforce these healthy practices.
To help continue the learning at home, daycare students also received donated toothbrushes, rinse cups, and timers to encourage strong oral hygiene habits. We’re proud of our students for serving others while promoting healthy smiles in our community!

Our kindergarten students spent the day spreading kindness, compassion, and joy throughout our community! They decorated food bank boxes and wrote encouraging notes for families experiencing food insecurity, packed snack packs for students in need through the Jordan Education Foundation, created festive ornaments, colored cheerful pictures for Color A Smile recipients, and helped beautify their classrooms.
Through these meaningful service projects, our youngest learners discovered that even small acts of kindness can make a big difference. We are proud of their caring hearts and willingness to serve others. Thank you to our student aides, families, and volunteers who helped make this special day possible!
"No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted."
