Our fifth graders had an unforgettable day at the annual Utah Prevention Day at The Ballpark at America First Square! ⚾️💙
Students joined schools from across Utah to celebrate important lessons they’ve been learning all year about anti-bullying, healthy choices, wellness, resilience, and staying drug and alcohol free. The event combined fun, community, and education while students enjoyed exciting baseball games and positive messages throughout the day.

Please plan to allow extra time for carpool on Thursday, April 23 sometime between 7 am - 5 p.m., Bluffdale City is working with Intermountain Slurry Seal, Inc. to resurface our street on that day. The re-surfacing will be done utilizing a process known as micro surfacing. This micro seal is wet when placed and will take about 1-2 hours to set. Please do not drive through barricades and watch for signage to direct you where you can and cannot drive.

During the April board meeting, board members congratulated our students who received top honors and awards, including Grand Champion at the state science fair. Great job NSA 7th grade Bears!
Drama Club Tech Days during spring break. Students having been building and painting sets, making sock puppets and creating flowers out of pool noodles. We are excited for the Spongebob Musical in May.
North Star Academy will operate on its regular school schedule today. All on-site activities will proceed as planned.
As you know, early this morning, prior to the start of the school day, our school received a bomb threat. As a precaution, staff who were present followed safety protocols, evacuated the building, and contacted law enforcement.
We appreciate the prompt response from local police and emergency personnel. Law enforcement, including a bomb squad and K-9 unit, conducted a thorough search of the campus and confirmed that there is no credible threat to the school. The school and law enforcement have also identified the source of the threat and have determined the threat to be a hoax. There is no ongoing danger to our school community, and we are grateful to have this matter fully resolved.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we prioritized the safety of our students, staff, and community. School resumed today at 11:00 a.m., and staff will be on-site to receive students at that time. Lunch will be served.

North Star Academy Has Been Evacuated . Dear Parent or Guardian, North Star Academy was Evacuated at 7:50 a.m. this morning due to a threat called into the school. The safety and security of your child is our top priority. We are actively responding to the situation and collaborating with emergency responders. The Delayed start is expected to be resolved with students returning to class at aprox. 11 a.m.. but only following a thorough investigation and clearance from emergency personnel. Dismissal will be at the regular time today should that occur and should parents decide to keep their children home today we will honor that. Watch for updates here in our live feed.
During the Cluster Showcase the CSI forensics cluster shared and solved mysteries with our students!
Our 8th graders had an unforgettable day of learning beyond the classroom! Guided by their science and history teachers, students explored the Utah State Capitol, gaining insight into government and civic life, before heading to the planetarium to dive into the wonders of space and science.

🎭 Behind the Scenes at Hale Theatre!
Our Drama Club, Stage Tech Design elective students, and the Playwright to Playbill Cluster joined together for an exciting field trip to Hale Centre Theatre! Students explored the magic of theater through a behind-the-scenes tour, where they saw the props and costume areas, green room, main stage, and backstage production spaces that bring performances to life.
This experience served as a Type 1 learning opportunity within our Schoolwide Enrichment Model, giving students real-world exposure to careers and creative pathways in the performing arts. From script to stage, students discovered how collaboration, creativity, and technical skill combine to create unforgettable performances.

Our Cheerleading Clusters had an AMAZING experience touring Weber State University and watching the 9-time National Champion cheer team practice their Daytona routine!
Students received valuable advice about post-secondary opportunities while also witnessing firsthand the grit, dedication, and athleticism it takes to compete at the highest level. Seeing how each athlete works together to create such an energetic, synchronized routine was truly inspiring!
This experience was also a Type 1 Schoolwide Enrichment Model opportunity, giving students exposure to a real-world field of interest and helping them explore potential pathways in athletics, leadership, and higher education. Their biggest competition is ALWAYS THEMSELVES = Great advice!
