Parent Teacher Organization
The Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) was established to facilitate communication and involvement between parents and teachers at North Star Academy. Our goals are three-fold: promote the welfare of the children at home and in school, help parents and teachers work together in the education of the children, make North Star Academy a great place to learn.
Lindsey Mitchell

Hi I'm Lindsey Mitchell, mother of two. My oldest is in second grade here at North Star. I have spent some time volunteering at the school and I am delighted to be working on the PTO bored this year. I'm looking forward to working with North Star families, volunteers, and staff to make this year the best it can be.
Heather Hambleton
PTO Secretary
Heather Hambleton is the mom of 3 awesome kids, that will all be attending North Star Academy this year. She has a deep appreciation for the teachers and families who help make this school such a wonderful place to learn and grow. She loves to camp, travel and spend time with her family.
Laural Alldredge
PTO Treasurer
Laurel has loved serving on the PTO Board as the treasurer for the past 12 years. Getting to know so many families over the years while serving has been so rewarding. She is the mother of 6 children (2 girls and 4 boys), all of whom have attended North Star. She loves the teaching environment that NSA has to offer and has been very pleased with how her children have progressed academically. In the past, Laurel has served as secretary and president of her Home Owner's Association Board, as well as treasurer of the PTA and Girl Scouts. Currently she works full time as a shipping manager at Cents of Style. Laurel's interests are spending time with her family, scrap-booking, singing, organizing, Disneyland, gardening, reading, chocolate, and going on dinner/movie dates with her husband, Sam.
Kammie LeFevre
PTO Treasurer
It’s always possible to do a thing better the second time around! And, Kammie is excited to have a second opportunity to serve as PTO President this year. Having been a member of the board for several years now and overseeing Red Ribbon Week many years before that — She might be responsible for those silly dress-up themes that will surely keep your kiddos from doing drugs. In her spare time, Kammie loves her work as a Real Estate Appraiser and to spend time with her family which includes her incredible and supportive husband Ben, Sophia who promoted from North Star just last year, Maggie who made the move to middle school and Tate who is bringing up the rear in third grade. She and her family are eternally grateful to the teachers and staff of NSA who not only inspire but also challenge her kids to do and be their best — EVERY. SINGLE. DAY.
