Assistant Principal’s Message

Can you believe we’re already half way through the school year? Every year we reach this point I’m amazed at how fast it has gone, how much we have done, and how much we still have to do. I’m also reminded each year at this time how difficult it can be to carry the enthusiasm and excitement felt at the beginning of the year into the second half of the school year. It can be difficult to see the end of the road when we’re just standing in the middle of it, staring down at our feet. For that matter, it’s also hard to see where we’re going if we aren’t looking ahead.

At this time, I’d like to invite everyone to take a moment and look towards June. I know this might seem counterproductive, but don’t just look towards June with an eye to summer; look towards June with an eye on where you want to be academically. Now take a moment and ask yourself, “Am I working towards that goal right now this very second?” If the answer is no, change your direction! It’s never too late to reevaluate our actions and attitude and make a change.
